Welcome to build your own lifestyle portfolio with photographer Viola Minerva at Hahkiala Manor. During the day you will be guided by Viola to shoot lifestyle settings that embody Nordic luxury and manor romance.
The soft light of August leads us to stylized food photography, both indoors and outdoors, with game, fish and seasonal vegetables playing the leading roles.
In the rose garden, we get to photograph the afternoon tea and the rich selection of delicacies, and at the end of the day you have the opportunity to stay and enjoy the gentle sauna baths and continue to photograph raw cosmetics based on the tips you have learned during the day.
The day will be full of wonderful lifestyle and food experiences, good local food, inspiring photography, relaxed togetherness and lots of new discoveries.
Viola Minerva Virtamo is known for her wonderful food photography and now you have the opportunity to participate in a photography workshop built around the theme of Nordic luxury in the historic Hahkiala manor house. Marika Goman from NLUX Northern Luxury Consulting will be in charge of the set-up and the themes to be photographed.

First sample: 'French dinner'
In the growing season, the floral display of the baroque garden, together with the blue shimmering lake and the cascading waterfall, creates a picturesque landscape for the dining experience, which is a feast for the eyes and ears.
A French-inspired dinner is staged in the chateau hall, largely inspired by the surrounding landscape. Hahkiala sorsa, home-grown potatoes and seasonal vegetables in the spirit of the Baroque.
The mansion is full of props, furniture and other props that we can use to style the pictures.
Students will have the opportunity to shoot pre-styled still lifes in Hahkiala's stunning rooms, which whisper of history. Come and fill your portfolio with northern luxury, aesthetics and mansion experiences.

Inspired by Skagen painter Hip Hip Hurrah, the lively encounter features a merry party enjoying a treat in the garden!
Afternoon coffee in the gazebo or on the terrace of a baroque garden with a magnificent view of the garden and the lake. Rose cups and cups of roses are laid out on the table and only your imagination is the limit as you reflect together on the story of the cup.
There are small delicacies to tempt all tastes, all prepared in the kitchen of the manor. A pavlova decorated with seasonal berries in the manor's rose garden is the crowning touch.
Third sample: 'Pampering treatments and raw cosmetics'
At the Hahkiala beach sauna, we get to use the photography techniques we have learned during the day, challenge ourselves in the evening light and explore the world of raw cosmetics.
We prepare it ourselves sauna masks, take pictures of pre-styled raw cosmetics set-ups and enjoy the gentle sauna baths and the warmth of Hahkiala's incredibly large sauna. Did you know that this is an old wine barrel from Marl and who hasn't wanted to take a bath in a wine cellar?
At the request of the manor, we will also build a whisky bar for the evening, where you can also take pictures with our models.
There is a self-service wine bar and a light evening snack.

Practical advice
Please bring your own system camera. The course is primarily aimed at professional photographers and we will also organise a mobile phone photography course in the future.

Transport
If you come to Hämeenlinna by train, we will arrange a shared transfer from Hämeenlinna (about 30 minutes). Please mention this when registering.
Billing
The participation fee must be paid before the workshop by the due date. Northern Luxury Consulting will be the invoicing agent.
Registration is binding. Once registered, you cannot cancel your participation, but you can transfer it to another person if necessary.
Participation in the evening programme and overnight stay will be charged separately and can be paid at Hahkiala Manor on arrival.
