Concept design: NLUX EAT
LappeanLohi has been a traditional summer destination for salmon fishermen and the client wanted to rebrand the whole site, redefine the target groups and make the village school a year-round accommodation destination.
With the NLUX Concept Handbook, the visual identity of the entire company, accommodation, food, activities and wellness products were renewed.
The food products were completely redesigned, replacing ready-made paninis with new local food-based showcase products, a platter for sauna lovers, a handy takeaway grill bag for self-catering tourists and a lunch menu for the summer.
The food product was developed by NLUX chef Valtteri Sinkkonen, whose handprint can also be seen in Nuuksio's super-popular Nielu forest restaurant.
In addition to the development and design project for the NLUX Concept Handbook, LappeanLohi food products were photographed according to the NLUX lifestyle photoshoot concept. During the shoot, a two-day food workshop was organised for the client, where the manufacturing processes and recipes of all products were discussed.
Iina's Photography was in charge of the shoot and the NLUX team was responsible for the shoot plan and arrangements, styling, food, props and materials.
"The NLUX team conjured up the spirit of our village school and brightened up the brand. At the same time, new food and wellness products were designed to meet the needs of the more discerning traveller.
We received clear and concrete plans for styling the interior and exterior and renovating the reception building that fit our budget. In addition, a completely new accommodation concept was developed for the existing fishermen's cottages.
The NLUX Concept Handbook gave a good understanding from the start of what to expect from the end result. Fishermen will be surprised this summer!"
