Concept Design: NLUX EAT
LappeanLohi has always been a traditional summer destination for salmon fishermen. The destination wanted to redesign the entire brand, redefine the target groups and make the village school a year-round accommodation.
With the help of the NLUX Concept Handbook, the visual look of the entire company, accommodation, food, activity and well-being products were renewed.
The food products were completely redesigned. For example, new dishes featuring local cuisine, a platter product suitable for saunas, a handy takeaway grill bag for independent travellers and a lunch menu for the summer were developed to replace the ready-made paninis that were initially offered.
NLUX chef Valtteri Sinkkonen is responsible for developing the food products. The chef is well-known for his keen ability to integrate nature into his cooking. Some of his most recent and notable work includes heading the Nielu forest restaurant based in Nuuksio, which was extremely well-received.
In addition to the NLUX Concept Handbook development and design project, LappeanLohi's food products were also photographed according to NLUX's Lifestyle Photoshoot Concept. In conjunction with the filming, a two-day food workshop was organised for the customer destination's staff, where the manufacturing processes and recipes of all products were taught and reviewed.
The filming conducted by Iina’s Photography whilst the NLUX team was responsible for creating the filming plan and arrangements, styling, as well as sourcing the food products, filming props and materials.
"The NLUX team revitalised the spirit of our village school and brightened up the brand. New food and wellness products were designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding traveler.
We were provided with clear and concrete plans to decorate the interior and exterior, as well as to renovate the reception building without breaking our budget. In addition, a completely new accommodation concept was developed for the existing fishermen's cottages.
The NLUX Concept Handbook gave a good understanding right from the start of what to expect from the end result. The fishermen will be pleasantly surprised in the coming summer! ”
